FSA Grand Prix!!

The third running of the FSA Grand Prix will be held at the Group Health Velodrome in Redmond's Marymoor Park July 25-26, 2008. Racers from around the country will be traveling to Redmond for this weekend's racing, and competing for the $14,000 available in prizes. The FSA Grand Prix is an Elite Nationals Qualifier and will draw elite racers from around the country to secure their spots for Elite Track Nationals.

This year's FSA Grand Prix is hosted by the Byrne Invent Racing Team, Gregg's Puget Sound Cycling Team, and Marymoor Velodrome Association. The FSA Grand Prix is sponsored by Full Speed Ahead, John Duggan, Gendler & Mann, Gregg's cycles, nuun, Zoka and Bikefit.

The weekend's racing promises to be some of the most spectacular racing of the year. So pack a picnic and bring the family out for a fun filled night under the stars and watch some awesome bike racing with no brakes and just one gear.

Racing starts Friday with timed pursuit rides starting at 1pm and the evening session starting at 7pm. The evening session will be started by Redmond Mayor John Marchione who will shoot the starter's pistol for the first race of the night. Friday evening races will include the always popular Keirin races and Madisons.

Saturday's racing will start at 930am with Flying 200meter TT's to qualify for the sprint rounds and then 500m TT and the Kilo. Sprint rounds will commence after a short break.

Saturday's evening session will begin at 7pm with the Match Sprint Finals, Master's Keirin Racing, the Kiddie Kilo and Fat Tire Cruiser Races.
